Though the BSI is designed to train performers to have more emotional range and authenticity, we are opening up to anyone looking for simple and concrete tools for increasing their Interceptive Awareness (the ability to feel sensations from the involuntary systems of the body; breath, blood flow, temperature, pain/pleasure…) Good for yoga practitioners, meditators, runners, actors, dancers… Do you want to ‘get out of your head’? TBT is perfect, simple and can be applied to almost anything! (taught by T Doiron, K Gordon and E Batdorf)
Creating Bravely with Vitality and Purpose

This one week session is designed to kick start or support your creative work (writing, movement, characters…). Batdorf has been supporting creators of performance work for over 30 years. She is known for offering very simple and practical creation tools, while also shaking up your approach. You will go deeply into the personal and then connect it with the universal. An opportunity to get some support, creating from your mind, heart and body! (taught by E Batdorf)

Arrive Friday June 14th 4pm, leave Sunday 16th 6pm
We start with a solo refresher, and throughout the weekend, go from solo journeys to group improvisation. Come deepen your interoceptive practice in this focused weekend. Bring some text or choreography to work on! (taught by E Batdorf and Kate Digby)
Transportation and food are NOT included. We offer bunkbeds in a dorm room with one shower, 2 toilets and a full kitchen with cookware/dishes/cutlery/oil/salt etc provided. There are two private rooms available (with same shared bathroom/shower) for an extra fee of 120$. All food, bedding, towels etc. must be brought by the students. For the adventure seeker, there is plenty of room to set up a tent!
